After a glorious and historic run in college basketball, Caitlin Clark has had an extremely rough ride in the pros now that she’s embarked on her WNBA career. To a certain extent, the rookie sensation has still been able to live up to the lofty expectations everyone had of her after being selected as the first overall pick by the Indiana Fever, but the truth is that she’s come up short in terms of turning things around for her team.
The fact that Indiana has lost 12 out of their 19 games thus far is a clear testament to this notion.
Did Caitlin Clark Just Call Out WNBA Vets?
Given that Clark has already revolutionized the sport of women’s basketball at this point in her career, you would think that she would get the utmost support from her peers now that she’s been heralded as the chosen one who will elevate the game at the professional level. Unfortunately, this has not been the case.
In a recent interview, the 22-year-old was asked what was the best piece of advice she’s received now that she’s in the WNBA. Clark got brutally honest with her response:
“Nobody gives me advice in games. I wish,” she said.

Is this Clark slyly throwing shade at the WNBA veterans who have refused to help her on her journey? I mean, I assumed that her elder stateswomen would have given her at least some advice on how to navigate life in the pros. Even the retired legends of the sport would be remiss if they refused to reach out to such a vital figure of the game today.
To be honest, for Clark to reveal that no one has given her advice is absolutely shocking.
