Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever superstar, could not pass up an opportunity to tease her close friend, Kate Martin. Clark and Martin were teammates in the Iowa Hawkeyes, and have been thick friends even after playing for different teams in the WNBA. In this upcoming WNBA season which will kick off in March, Clark will continue stunning for the Indiana Fever, while Martin will play for the brand new expansion team, the Golden State Valkyries.

Martin recently had an interview with the food-delivery service, DoorDash, speaking about more than just her game. The 24-year-old guard touched on the importance of uplifting her teammates through any possible means. She also mentioned how DoorDash is a literal ‘lifesaver’ especially when she might not be able to get outdoors much because of training.

“Name someone that gives more assists than DoorDash? I’ll wait.” Kate Martin captioned the Instagram post with a video clip of her interview with DoorDash.

“Get me a free dash pass” Caitlin Clark commented on Kate Martin’s post.

Caitlin Clark played for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 2020 to 2024, while Martin played for the team from 2019 to 2024. Clark was eventually selected by the Indiana Fever as the first overall pick in the very first round of the 2024 WNBA draft, while Martin was selected by the Las Vegas Aces as the 18th overall pick in the second round.

Caitlin Clark Tweets Supportive Message For JuJu Watkins After ACL Injury

Caitlin Clark knows only too well how important college basketball can be for anyone aiming to make it to the pros. Clark sympathized with USC Trojans’ JuJu Watkins, after the star player tore her ACL in the NCAA tournament’s second round against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

After Watkins managed to chalk up three points for the team, she slid down the floor after getting bumped by an opponent player. Watkins was seen clutching her knee in pain, and was eventually taken out of the game by two USC trainers. According to recent reports, Watkins will be scheduled for surgery soon.

“Sending all my thoughts and prayers to JuJu. Kid will come back stronger than ever” Caitlin Clark tweeted from her X account along with a heart emoji.

Michigan Wolverines guard Jordan Hobbs (10) takes a charge from USC Trojans guard JuJu Watkins (12) on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in a semifinals game at the 2025 TIAA Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Ohio State Buckeyes at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

In Watkins’ absence, the USC Trojans were led by Kiki Iriafen who put up 36 points on the scoreboard. The team eventually won against Mississippi State and will be heading to the Sweet 16 this weekend to play against the Kansas State Wildcats.
