Caitlin Clark is once again stealing the spotlight — this time off the court — as The Annika LPGA Pro-Am confirmed that Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull will be her celebrity caddies for this year’s event.
On Wednesday, the tournament committee officially announced the pairing. Cunningham, who joked last month about wanting to support Clark on the greens, finally got her wish. Clearly thrilled, she dropped a playful comment on the event’s Instagram post: “Four!!!!”

Clark, of course, couldn’t resist a little dig back at her Indiana Fever teammate.
“Yeah, clearly we have a lot to learn about golf… It’s fore bud @sophie_cham,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
For anyone unfamiliar, golfers usually yell “fore” when a stray ball is flying toward spectators — a warning that someone might want to duck. The joke stems from last year’s tournament, when Clark accidentally clipped a fan on the No. 3 tee after a shanked shot. The fan avoided injury, but the moment quickly became a running gag.
Cunningham couldn’t help but remind Clark of that infamous swing, hoping to make a funny callback. Unfortunately for her, the typo made her the punchline this time.
Clark’s humor aside, she’ll have plenty to focus on at The Annika, where she’s set to compete against a field of 108 golfers vying for a share of the $3.25 million purse. Big names like Nelly Korda and Lilia Vu — both past champions — will also be in the mix. Having her Fever teammates by her side should make the weekend even more entertaining.
“Thanks for the good kick”: Caitlin Clark’s light-hearted apology moment
During last year’s Pro-Am, Caitlin Clark turned an awkward moment into a wholesome one. After her errant shot grazed a fan on the par-3 ninth, she approached the spectator right away to apologize and handed over a signed golf ball.

“Thanks for the good kick, whoever I hit,” she said with a laugh, according to Golfweek.

Clark gets another swing at redemption on November 12, this time with Sophie and Lexie walking beside her — and maybe reminding her to yell fore a little earlier.
