Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever star of today, recently spilt some tea on her college-basketball days. On a ‘Fresh Tawk’ podcast episode, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year confessed that her University of Iowa coach, Lisa Bluder, threw her out of practice. This was mainly because of an altercation that Clark had with another team.
Along with co-host Jada Gyamfi, and Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall, Clark took a nostalgic trip down memory lane on their individual and collective experiences at Iowa. The Indiana guard, apparently was beefing with the ‘blue squad’ which led to Coach Bluder kicking her out for a drill during practice.
“Everyday there was something new whether it was (Clark) performing a song before practice,” Jada Gymafi said.

Coach Lisa Bluder, who retired last May, is one of the most well-known coaches in women’s basketball. The legend created a separate fan-base for herself after clinching the highest number of wins for Iowa. Bluder was instrumental in sharpening Caitlin Clark’s talents at Iowa, helping her break the NCAA all-time scoring record, and taking the Iowa Hawk to the championships.

Caitlin Clark Shares Which Game Made Her The Most Nervous
In the same podcast episode, Caitlin Clark also spoke about a certain game, which made her the most nervous. This was a game against the Northern Iowa Panthers, played on the 13th of November, 2023. While she was not clear as to why she was feeling nervous, Clark hinted that the reason could be because of the sold-out crowd.
“We went to Northern Iowa and like, that’s a hard place to play – sold out,” Clark said. “I was like personally kind of nervous for that game. I don’t know why, it was just like the instate rivalries, you never know how they’re going to go. And we went in there and just destroyed them by 40.” Clark remembered.
This was definitely not the only time Clark was nervous. The promising star also noted that she was both joyous and nervous on her WNBA draft night. However, she also experienced a touch of disappointment after she failed to see her peer, Kate Martin, get picked, since Clark was swept off by the paps for interviews.
