Caitlin Clark has always had a way of hyping up her teammates, whether it’s their game on the floor or their drip walking into the arena.
Ahead of the Indiana Fever’s regular-season finale against the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday, the team’s social pages dropped their usual pregame fit check. One look in particular caught Clark’s eye — rookie Makayla “KK” Timpson showed up in a white sweater that looked more like a coat. Clark wasn’t part of the shoot since she’s been sidelined, but she made sure to let everyone know what she thought.

“KK slay then,” Clark commented.
Timpson, the 19th pick in the 2025 draft, just wrapped her first year in Indy. She averaged 2.6 points and 1.8 boards in limited minutes, but her energy and personality made her a fan favorite. That “KK” nickname stuck from her Florida State days and quickly carried over into the Fever locker room.
Caitlin Clark as a sideline coach
While she’s been rehabbing her groin injury, Caitlin Clark hasn’t exactly disappeared. If anything, she’s been finding new ways to contribute — even stepping into a mini coaching role.
During the WNBA All-Star Game, Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron got a taste of it. Clark, who was supposed to captain her own team before the injury, stayed engaged from the bench and passed on a few pointers.

“It was good, yeah,” Citron said. “I think she’s a great coach, you know, she was just telling us to shoot a lot of threes, which I like. So yeah, great coach.”
Team Clark ended up dropping the game 151–131 to Team Collier, but Citron didn’t leave empty-handed. The No. 3 pick for Washington has been impressive all year, averaging 15 points and 4 rebounds while shooting nearly 47% from the field and over 44% from deep. She’s right in the Rookie of the Year mix with Paige Bueckers.
As for Clark, her sideline presence hasn’t gone unnoticed. Fever coach Stephanie White has said this stretch has given her star guard a chance to see the game from a different angle — one that could come in handy years down the road when the playing days are over.
