Caitlin Clark was quick to join in on the celebrations after Nelly Korda shocked everyone with some big personal news on Friday. The world No. 2 golfer went public with her engagement, sharing a set of photos on social media with her boyfriend, Casey Gunderson.
Korda, who rarely puts much of her private life online, opened the post with a picture of the two holding a newspaper that read, “We’re getting married!” The rest of the photos showed the couple in a handful of relaxed, candid moments. She captioned everything with:

“In this life… & the next [ring emoji] ,”
The announcement drew reactions from all corners of the sports world, starting with Clark, who kept her message short and sweet:
“congrats!!!” with a red heart emoji.
Lexie Hull — Clark’s teammate and her caddie during The Annika Pro-Am — followed it up with her own note.
“Congrats!!! [clinking glasses emoji] to wedding planning!!”
Sophie Cunningham quietly showed some love by liking the post, and even LeBron James showed up in the comments section with:
“Congratulations!!!!”
The timing made it even more special, as Korda’s post came only weeks after her brother Sebastian also revealed his engagement.
“Guaranteed”: Nelly Korda’s playful gift to Caitlin Clark before The ANNIKA
Clark and Korda crossed paths earlier this month at The ANNIKA, the second straight year the two stars have linked up at the event. Despite coming from different sports, they’ve built an easy mutual respect, especially with both representing Nike.

Korda had just received a batch of Nike Golf shoes she helped design, and on November 12 — right before the tournament — she handed Clark a pair. That sparked a funny exchange between the two.
“(Caitlin) did ask me if they’re going to make her golf better, and I was like, ‘Guaranteed.'”
Clark, who has now made back-to-back appearances at the event, has been enjoying the time away from the WNBA grind while still keeping close to the game and working through her offseason recovery.
