“Pray For Caitlin Clark”: Caitlin Clark Targeted By WNBA Ruling As Fever Photographer Sounds Alarm

This is fine. Or not. Caitlin Clark is still not playing on the hard court as she’s already been ruled out for 2025. The Fever star still manages to get attention regardless of the fact as she always maintains a physical presence in and around the Indiana Fever dream.

This time Caitlin Clark’s name is tied to a league ruling that left plenty for discussion. After the Indiana Fever rookie was fined for joining her teammates in celebrating too close to the court, one person close to the team called out the situation.

“Pray for Caitlin Clark,” Fever photographer Vicki Lewerke wrote.

Clark, however, didn’t seem too bothered. She reacted with her usual playful edge, poking fun at the punishment online. “Got fined $200 for this lol [laughing with tears emoji] BENCH MOB WILL BE EVEN MORE ROWDY TOMORROW LETS GOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she tweeted, making it clear she wasn’t going to let the fine slow her down.

Rules are there, yes. And perhaps this one was indeed broken when followed to the letter. But nonetheless, fans are still wondering if perhaps it was an outdated rule that needed to be adjusted, or maybe even bent this time around.

While fans continue to talk about it, good ol’ Caitlin Clark didn’t seem to pay mind. And maybe it’s just nothing but a meager amount compared to the memories now etched in her mind after celebrating with the ladies whom she worked so hard all those days.

While there is always the seriousness in competition, it never fails to show that on the other side of the usual heavy stakes are the funny little moments between friends. Another episode of Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham’s CC and Sophie Moments, where in this moment, you can see CC dragging Sophie back.

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) and Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham (8) celebrate from the bench Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, during Game 2 of a WNBA playoff matchup between the Indiana Fever and the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

We all remember that Cunningham is still nursing a leg injury and wouldn’t be back on the court until next season.

“She forgets I have a broken leg,” she said, to the laughter of the people in witness.

Both ladies have been ruled out of this season and would be aiming to make a comeback next season. Despite being away from the court, the bond always shows that they’re never away from each other. For now, Caitlin Clark and Cunningham are relegated to cheer duties while being seated on the best seats in the house.

Make no mistake, we’re now at the stage where every point and rebound matters. The stakes are at their highest this season. But it’s also a huge thing being able to look back at the little moments right along with the big ones.
