Cam Thomas has returned to the Brooklyn Nets and in the three games he’s played, it is safe to say that he is providing exactly what the team needs from him. He might be looking for some changes though after his post-game comment.

Houston Rockets visited the Nets on Thursday and dominated their hosts right from the get go. They started the first quarter 12-2 as the Nets struggled putting the ball on the basket. They settled a 26-20 score in favor of the Rockets after 12 minutes.
He is supposed to be the team’s go-to guy when it comes to scoring but that has not been the case. When asked if he feels frustrated about starting from the bench, his answer was not a straight up “no”.

The main scorer role is owned at the moment by Michael Porter Jr. who they acquired over the summer from Denver Nuggets in exchange for Cameron Johnson.
Jordi Fernandez on Cam Thomas’ load
Thomas finished with 21 points, an improvement from his 13-point performance in 19 minutes versus the Golden State Warriors. Head coach Jordi Fernandez thought he played efficient.
However, there’s so much more that he needs.
“Pretty efficient game offensively. Not so much on the turnovers. Gotta be cleaner,” Fernandez told reporters when asked about the 24-year-old guard’s performance.

“Good scoring punch with the minutes that he’s playing right now… Obviously, his superpower is his scoring, but once again, I need better defense, I need better playmaking.”
