Stephen Curry sat quietly like a silent audience while his coach, Steve Kerr, and his friend Draymond Green had a verbal fight around him. That didn’t sit well with a Warriors legend.

Former Golden State guard Tim Hardaway ripped Curry’s passive approach during Monday’s Draymond Green-Steve Kerr blowup. The Hall of Famer wanted to see Curry step up as the alpha, not stay planted on the bench.
Tim Hardaway Blasts Stephen Curry for Failing to Lead During Draymond–Kerr Blowup
Hardaway didn’t hold back on SiriusXM NBA Radio Wednesday. He questioned why Curry didn’t show his leadership, as well as his friendship power, when tension was boiling around him.
“Steph should’ve been the one standing up in that huddle, not somebody else,” Hardaway said. “Steph should have been like, ‘Yo, Dray, man. That’s enough, man. Come on, man. Hey, let’s get back into it, man. Let it go. Leave it alone.'”
The former All-Star continued, “Don’t be sitting down there and catching your breath, thinking, ‘Here we go again.’ Steph isn’t that type of person, but we don’t what he’s saying in the back.”

Where Steph had to show some movement, Moses Moody became the Warriors player who stepped in to calm Green down during the heated argument. Assistant coach Jerry Stackhouse also tried his best from his side.
But Curry, being the franchise cornerstone, waited in his seat until the drama stopped. He even remained silent when Green allegedly threw an F-bomb at Kerr.
Green stormed off to the locker room and never returned to the game. Actually, the 60-year-old HC didn’t let him join with teammates, although he returned to warm-ups after a few minutes of the verbal altercation.
However, the Warriors won by 23 without him convincingly. Curry dropped an impressive 26 points, so everything worked out basketball-wise.
Stephen Curry Addresses Heated Moment, Shifts Focus to Warriors’ Win
The four-time NBA champion shared his thoughts on the incident during his postgame presser after Magic’s game. The back-to-back MVP refused to get caught up in the chaotic sideline opera. He was just thinking about how to win the game since, at that time, they were five points behind the Magic.
“It’s unfortunate that we’re up here, considering where we’ve been, two-game win streak and protecting our homecourt, that the vibes of the questions are a little bit more negative than they should be,” Curry responded after being questioned about the Green-Kerr clash.

The four-time champ acknowledged reporters’ curiosity, so he flipped the script entirely.
“I get why you’re asking them, but downstairs right now, the DJ’s got a good playlist going. Guys are getting their work in, and we’re having a good time because we’re winning.”
Curry called the exchange between Kerr and Green “just having a good conversation.” He downplayed everything like other franchise players who trust his coach and teammates to sort it out by themselves.
