Some games are not like the others. That’s what the Boston Celtics’ assignment was on Tuesday when they faced and beat the New York Knicks. Jaylen Brown and company came out triumphant and the All-Star is feeling great about the win.

The reason behind this emotion is the 2025 playoffs when the Knicks eliminated them in the second round.

“It’s a great win for us. That was a great win,” JB told reporters when asked how satisfying the win is.

“I’ll take every one we can get. Obviously, a team that knocked you out in the playoffs, it’s even sweeter to come back.”

He insisted though that they should remain focus at the task at hand.

“This is just one game. We’ve just got to focus on the next one now and that’s what’s most important.”

    Jaylen Brown scored 42 points

It is not just in the Knicks game that Brown played inspiring basketball. He has been doing that all-season long for a team that does not have their main superstar.

Jayson Tatum is out and is not expected to return anytime soon after suffering ACL injury in the series with Knicks. All eyes were on JB at the start of the season and he has been delivering.

His 42-point output vs New York is the second time in three games that he scored more than 40. He currently has three 40-point game, tying the most he recorded in a single season.

He is currently averaging 29 points, seven more than his average from last season.

Jaylen Brown in his last 5 games:

    35 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds
    33 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists
    41 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds
    19 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists
    42 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists

Celtics have wins over the Pistons, Magic, Cavs, Knicks
