Boston Celtics rookie Amari Williams has played just two games before their win over the Detroit Pistons and even though he did not make an attempt, Jaylen Brown thought he contributed a lot on the floor to pull off the 117-114 win.

Williams, picked 46th overall by the Orlando Magic but was immediately traded to the Celtics right away, is an emergency center head coach Joe Mazzulla picked after Neemias Queta was ruled out for an ankle sprain he suffered during game against the Magic.
He played 15 minutes in the game and is one of three players who posted a double digit positive plus minus. He finished the game with 1 point, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Celtics ended Pistons’ 13-game winning streak.
JB thought Williams serviced them well while their main player was out.

“He looked great. He was battling on the boards. He gave us that physicality that we needed down there,” Jaylen Brown said as quoted by Hardwood Houdini.
“A big body like Amari makes a big difference.”
Jaylen Brown has another issue with officiating
Brown led everyone in the team in scoring with his 33 points and he also added 10 rebounds, and five assists. Celtics survived the 42-point production from Pistons star Cade Cunningham who missed one of the three throws that could have tied the game.

It was a win for the Celtics but things got controversial in the end and Brown, who had issues with officiating before, thought it was another missed call by the referees. In the end, he said the ball sided with them.
