Jayson Tatum showed off his impressive recovery a few days ago through his own Youtube channel, four months after his tragic ACL injury. The Boston Celtics star filmed himself doing basketball drills already as many expect him to be out the whole 2025-26 season.

He is not yet fully recovered and he emphasized that he is not rushing anything. He said he will only return once he is back at his 100 percent.
“There’s no pressure to return back any sooner than when I’m 100% healthy,” Tatum told reporters Monday during media day.
“No pressure from Brad, Joe, the team, the organization. The most important thing is that I’m 100% recovered and healthy whenever I do come back.”
He also teased in another clip that his body is at its greatest again and might play like a 19-year-old once he’s back.

“I see a world in which I come back, and it’s like, Yo, my body has never felt this good, probably since I was like 19.”
Joe Mazzulla on Jayson Tatum
Tatum is not on a hurry to return. He is not pressured by team officials. That’s the kind of support his head coach Joe Mazzulla is giving him.
The champion coach said he is keeping a close eye on Tatum’s recovery to the point that it is getting literal.
“I think it’s a responsibility as a coach to be there for your guys,” he said.

“So whenever I could lift with him, whenever I could be there for treatment, whenever I could rebound for him, I think it was important to do that.”
It’s as if he is a father witnessing every milestone his infant achieves.
“So I was there for the first time he walked. I was there for the first time he ran. I was there for the first shot that he took. I think it’s important. We try to do that for everybody. I think one of the things in the offseason that I like to do is build different relationships with the guys and do different things.
