Charles Barkley had the perfect—and also probably the quickest—response to a co-host almost making a Jay-Z joke, as the famous rapper is currently in the hot seat facing serious allegations.
In one of the recent editions of Inside the NBA, Chuck’s co-host Kenny Smith was about to say something about rapper Jay-Z, but Barkley quickly stopped him before he could go on any further.
“Probably not a good time,” Barkley quipped.

This caught Kenny off guard and he just ended his sentence midway with an “of course” as Shaquille O’Neal and Ernie Johnson were not able to hold their laughter. Shaw even stood and walked to the side of the studio, with his head back to the camera as he was obviously shaking his head.
“Go see if you can fix the wall, Shaq,” Johnson called out. “In fact, let me see if I can fix the wall,” he added as he stood as well.
Jay-Z was recently accused of sex-related charges that linked him to Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has been charged with multiple counts of sex-related charges. Part of the Diddy controversy was the infamous “Diddy parties,” where the alleged crimes supposedly take place on a regular basis. Since the allegations have been made public, any celebrity or public figure that was proven to have a connection to the ”Diddy parties” has been heavily criticized by the public.

In an era of everyone having their own bet for the greatest of all time (GOAT) of basketball, most people argue between Michael Jordan and Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James. For Charles Barkley, the answer is simple—Michael Jordan is the GOAT.
“I don’t get into the debate between Michael [Jordan] and LeBron [James] because I think it’s weak journalism when guys on TV and radio try to get fools to call in the order,” he said. “They’re both great.”

“Michael Jordan’s the best basketball player I ever played against,” he added. “These young kids, they played against LeBron. I was caught off-guard last week when Ernie said [James was just a few games behind Jordan in 30-point scoring games]. As great as LeBron is, he’s still behind Michael Jordan in 30-point games, and he’s played seven more seasons.”
Charles Barkley sued to play in the same generation as Michael Jordan. MJ was playing for the Chicago Bulls back then, and Chuck was playing for the Philadelphia 76ers.
