LaMelo Ball managed to finish the game against the New Orleans Pelicans and his Charlotte Hornets ended up with a victory to extend their streak to seven. However, it is still not hard to shake off the image of how he was left bleeding because of his coach.

Ball tried to chase an errand play in the first quarter before it goes out of bounds but then Charles Lee thought it was already a dead ball and he went after the ball, too. The two did not see each other and they collided head to head, knocking out the 2024 All-Star.
The coach laughed after the incident but Ball had to stay on the floor for a while, visibly shaken. It was later on revealed that he sustained a boxer’s cut.

The Hornets franchise player managed to finish the game and ended up with game high 24 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists to lead his team to a 102-95 victory.
LaMelo Ball laughed off the accident
Lee said post game that he apologized to Ball for the incident and admitted that he should have not interfered with the play.
As for LaMelo, he just laughed it off.
“He went for the ball and I went for the ball and obviously we bumped heads,” he told reporters after the game.
“It was unfortunate, but hey, I’m still alive and breathing, so who cares? We got the win, so that’s what’s most important.”

Nothing seems wrong when you’re winning and that’s how it was in the Hornets locker room. Lee wore a construction helmet while celebrating with Ball and the rest of the team.
