The late debate and political commentator Charlie Kirk got blasted by one former ESPN host, who called him “racist” over his statements in the past. This was, however, shot down by analyst and critic Jason Whitlock, who downplayed the former host’s remark as a lack of intellect.
In one of his latest posts on X, Jason Whitlock responded to the sharp remarks of former ESPN host Jemele Hill towards the late Charlie Kirk. Per Jason, Hill’s comments came from a place of being unable to “intellectually compete” with the late political figure and debater.

“Jemele’s argument boils down to: I couldn’t intellectually compete with Charlie Kirk’s idea and that made me ‘feel’ inferior to him, so I think he’s racist,” Whitlock wrote. “She never deals with what he actually argued. She dealt with how his arguments made her feel.”
Whitlock finished his statement with a callout to Hill of his own.
“She does this in front of gym-shoe collection while wearing a horse’s skirt weaved into her head,” he added. “Mental illness.”
Whitlock’s remark came after Hill blasted Kirk, in light of the surge of comments and remarks following his untimely assassination. In a video, Hill expressed her disdain over popular fan comments that Kirk was killed over “differences in opinion.”
“I’m really sick of that!” Hill said. “As I’m paying attention to how people are talking about and memorializing Charlie Kirk, I’m insulted by the fact that they think his beliefs are just about a difference of opinion. ‘Oh, I think because you’re black that you don’t deserve the same treatment.’”
Charlie Kirk was considered by a lot of right-leaning people as one of the most significant figures who helped President Donald Trump win the previous election.
Charlie Kirk Widow Spoke Publicly Following Utah Shooting
In a Fox News interview Friday, Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika, pledged to carry forward her husband’s work, announcing that his nationwide speaking tour, radio program and podcast would continue as scheduled. She encouraged young Americans to join or establish Turning Point USA chapters to uphold what the organization calls traditional American values—patriotism, respect for life, liberty, family, and fiscal responsibility.

Erika also expressed gratitude to law enforcement, first responders, and senior White House officials, including President Trump and Vice President Usha Vance, for their support, warning those responsible that “if you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you have just unleashed across this entire country, and this world.”
She added that she has yet to find the words to explain her husband’s death to their 3-year-old daughter. Charlie Kirk’s outspoken activism—ranging from critiques of 1960s civil rights legislation to collaborations with prominent conspiracy theorists—had frequently ignited controversy.
