One of the producers of the late Charlie Kirk spoke against the latest statement of analyst Stephen A. Smith that linked President Donald Trump to the recent arrests involving alleged rigging and gambling activities in the NBA.
In a post on X, Andrew Kolvet, one of the producers for Charlie Kirk, expressed his opinion on Stephen A. Smith’s bold claim against President Trump.

“Stephen A. Smith somehow managed to turn a vast, widespread illegal sports gambling ring into an insane anti-Trump rant and one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever seen about anything, ever,” he said. “Why not address the serious accusations of faking ankle injuries to rig prop bets? What about X-RAY machines to help cheat people out of millions of $$ at poker? What about the Mafia’s involvement? Absolute clownshow.”

Federal authorities have arrested Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups in connection with a sweeping illegal gambling investigation that spans multiple states and involves over 30 defendants.
Rozier is accused of providing confidential medical and performance information to co-conspirators, enabling them to place fraudulent bets. Prosecutors cited a March 2023 Hornets-Pelicans game where Rozier allegedly faked an injury and exited early, triggering suspicious betting patterns. His attorney maintains Rozier’s injury was legitimate and notes that prior investigations found no wrongdoing.
Billups, meanwhile, is charged with helping run a poker ring that used cheating technology like x-ray tables and marked cards to defraud players out of millions.
The NBA has placed both men on administrative leave and is cooperating with the investigation. Legal proceedings are moving swiftly, with courts issuing bond conditions and preparing for trial.
Candace Owens Points to Trump on Her Continued Charlie Kirk Conspiracy
Conservative commentator Candace Owens publicly alleged that former President Donald Trump and his associates were responsible for the murder of activist Charlie Kirk, calling the slaying an “inside job” and saying Kirk was “betrayed” by those around him.

“He gave so much of his life to Trump and to politics, and they were just like, ‘nope. That’s it. He serves us or he doesn’t serve us, we want to move on. So here’s a holiday,'” Owens said. “What is with them giving them a holiday after they kill them?”
Candace Owens is now DIRECTLY ACCUSING the Trump administration of killing Charlie Kirk — “they DEFINITELY killed you.”

Owens amplified the claim during a recent book-club session, arguing that the timing of a proposed National Day of Remembrance for Kirk resembled a pattern she associates with federal complicity and insisting she had uncovered information “enough to burn the house down.”
Owens’ remarks prompted a broader wave of online reaction as clips circulated, and she acknowledged a brief break from social platforms while confirming her podcast would return; some of the episodes with her comments have since been removed from YouTube and Instagram amid an active gag order tied to the legal proceedings.

Owens defended her statements on X, rejecting constraints from a court-issued gag order and asserting she intended to continue discussing what she called betrayals surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk.
