The Charlotte Hornets wrapped up their three-game road trip with a bang, as they secured a surprising 124-97 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, where six of their players scored double-digit points.
Brandon Miller paced the Charlotte Hornets with 28 points, six rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and seven three-pointers on 8-for-16 shooting in 31 minutes of action. Kon Knueppel, Miles Bridges, LaMelo Ball, PJ Hall, and Collin Sexton followed suit with 23, 17, 16, 13, and 10 points, respectively.
“They trust me enough to take shots like that. I take them—I make sometimes, I miss them sometimes. I’m not perfect, but my teammates are gonna keep trusting me to take those shots,” Miller said of his performance.
“We were composed. We came in here like we belonged, and we gotta do that every night,” Knueppel said in his postgame interview. “We can be an elite offensive group. We play with the pass, and we play fast. That’s what we’ve been doing for the past half-month, and we want to keep it going.”

Charlotte Hornets News: Charles Lee dishes on their blowout victory vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Charlotte Hornets head coach Charles Lee was undoubtedly happy with their upset of the Oklahoma City Thunder. After the game, Lee particularly praised Brandon Miller for his conditioning after recovering from a shoulder injury.
“I think Brandon’s really in a good place right now. I’ll start with just his overall conditioning level. It’s been nice to play him extended minutes these last couple of games. I think that his ability to fight through fatigue is just getting a lot better. Because we need him in a lot of big moments,” Lee told The Charlotte Observer.
“With all the rotations that we have and injuries that we have had lately, it’s good knowing I can play him a whole quarter if I need to, and he’s still able to go out there and compete at the level he needs to compete at,” he added.
