Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve was not happy that her team got beaten by the Phoenix Mercury, and she did not mince words in detailing where she and her team fell short of.
In a post-game interview, Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve got honest on what she thinks made her team lose Game 2 of the playoff to the Mercury, despite everyone dishing out their best effort. For her, it was the small details that piled up that led to their loss.

“The lack of execution led us to the uncertainty,” Reeve said. “All of a sudden they’re looking around, they had a bunch of oh s*** looks and so execution, simple things, pass and catch. Just be able to dribble the ball and get it to us, we were throwing it out of bounds.”

Lynx star player Napheesa Collier also gave her honest take on why they lost the game. For her, it was all about how they handled each play and how they had too many turnovers.
“Just playing our defense, and making sure we limit our turnovers,” Collier said during the post-game press conference. “I don’t think our defense was the same in the second half as it was in the first half. We need to get back to taking away the easy things and making their shots hard.”
