Chicago Bulls Drop 5’8 Guard Yuki Kawamura After Remarkable Pre-Season But There’s A Way He Might Find Himself Back in Windy City

Yuki Kawamura had a productive summer for the Chicago Bulls. He hit clutch shots, made great passes, and served a reliable floor general in the two games he played for them. He also bonded well with his teammates.

I understand how his physical limitations will greatly impact his ability to play big, meaningful minutes at the NBA level

But you can’t tell me Yuki Kawamura isn’t fun to watch

Unfortunately for him, he won’t be there with the team when the season opens. He was poised to become a fan favorite in the Windy City just like during his time with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Problem was, he got injured and therefore, the Bulls were forced to use his spot for another player.

“Bulls have released Yuki Kawamura, which Bulls PR confirms is due to a medical condition. Kawamura has been sidelined with right lower leg pain,” Bulls reporter K.C. Johnson wrote on X.

“Coach Billy Donovan will talk to media following Saturday practice. Bulls are off Friday.”

Bulls are not giving up on Yuki Kawamura

The time for Donovan to talk to the Japanese sensation has arrived and according to a follow up report by Johnson, Kawamura will remain close with the team as he try to recover.

Billy Donovan has obviously spoken to Yuki Kawamura and said his spirits are good. Acknowledged the impact he made on teammates and organization and wished him well. Bulls PR confirms Kawamura will stay in Chicago for treatment.

Some Bulls fans take this development as a good news.

Looks like Yuki will be treated well and hopefully we may see him back in a bulls jersey at some point in the future. Dude made a big impact in a very short space of time. https://t.co/r9c7gesJmy

Good to see him staying in Chicago for treatment. Hopefully the treatment works well, and next year he can be back with the Bulls https://t.co/TVwBkHwjBf

    Japanese fans are also hopeful.

Hopefully we may see him back in a Bulls jersey at some point in the future.
