The Chicago Bulls’ only notable move so far this offseason was the acquisition of Isaac Okoro in exchange for Lonzo Ball, and two reporters believe that the team struck gold with the former Cleveland Cavaliers swingman.

In a recent episode of By the Horns podcast, Cam Smith and KC Johnson from CHSN explained why Okoro has the makings to be a new fan favorite for the Chicago Bulls this upcoming season.
“I have pretty high expectations for Isaac Okoro. I think he’s gonna be somebody that sees this as a fresh start, and I think he’s gonna take it and run with it,” Johnson said.

“At the end of the day, what the city of Chicago and especially Bulls fans love is a guy that just gets after it, and that’s what Isaac Okoro does. It would be no surprise for me that he’s going to become an instant fan favorite just because of how hard he plays and what he brings to the court,” Smith added.
Chicago Bulls News: Matas Buzelis receives bold All-Star prediction from insiders in 2025-26
Matas Buzelis appears to have put some work in the weight room over the summer, and former Chicago Bulls forward Kendall Gill said he won’t be surprised if the sophomore swingman contends for an All-Star spot this upcoming season.

“He does, and like I said, he wants to build off of last year. I think he could possibly, it wouldn’t surprise me if it came out this year, and we were talking about him making an All-Star team pretty soon,” Gill said about Buzelis on Bulls on CHSN.
“It wouldn’t surprise me because that is how hard he works. I’ve seen him since he was a little kid. I know how hard the kid works. I know how bad he wants it. He’s the future of this franchise, and I’m just glad we got him,” he added.
