The Chicago Bulls have finally agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract to re-sign Josh Giddey this offseason, and many are happy that both sides ended their stalemate.

One of them is Chicago Bulls insider Cam Smith, who called Giddey’s new contract a “team-friendly deal,” considering his elite production towards the end of last season.
“My initial reaction was just a deep breath, a sigh of relief. You saw 71 days of ‘Giddey Gate,’ as I like to call it, and it is finally over. You’re looking at a guy, in the second half of the season, you hope he can build on what we saw,” Smith said on Bulls on CHSN.

“You think about Matas Buzelis and what he’s becoming, but also Coby White, who this team hopes to bring back after next season… I think that’s the good thing about the deal for Josh Giddey, it’s a very team-friendly deal,” he added.
Former Chicago Bulls guard drops three-word reaction to Josh Giddey’s new contract
Former Chicago Bulls swingman Zach LaVine briefly played with Josh Giddey before he was traded to the Sacramento Kings last February, and LaVine praised his former teammate for his new deal.

“Deserved my guy!” LaVine commented on Giddey’s Instagram post.
In his first full season with the Chicago Bulls, Giddey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals on 46.5 percent shooting from the field across 70 regular season appearances.
