Josh Giddey recently reiterated that he and his Chicago Bulls teammates are sticking together amid their ongoing slump, where they have lost seven consecutive games, a far cry from their brisk start to the 2025-26 NBA campaign.

“We’re frustrated. Fans are frustrated. But the team aspect of this group has never wavered. We’ve always cared for each other, wanted each other to succeed. It’s easy to do that when you win. Real character comes when you lose. Credit to group; we’ve all stuck together,” Giddey said via KC Johnson of CHSN.
“Everybody in this locker room gets along,” he added. “We don’t have anybody that butts heads. We all love each other, we all care about each other. But there’s multiple ways to show that. On the floor, we’re not showing that enough.”

Injuries have played a key role behind the Chicago Bulls’ skid, as they’ve missed the likes of Kevin Huerter (hamstring), Tre Jones (ankle), Ayo Dosunmu (thumb), Isaac Okoro (back), and Jalen Smith (hamstring). However, of course, the team doesn’t want to use it as an excuse.
Chicago Bulls News: Billy Donovan addresses the team’s losing run
Billy Donovan believes they have themselves to blame for their losing streak. The Chicago Bulls head coach calls for the team to put in a more concerted effort in the next few days to break out of their slump.

“People wanna sit there and say, ‘Well, you lost to New Orleans. They got a bad a record.’ Indiana, bad record. I don’t think we’re any different from those teams. We’re not just gifted to walk in there (and) if we show up, we’ll win games… I do not view it that way at all when I watch tape,” Donovan told Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic.
“Oh, Kevin Huerter’s out, Zach Collins is out. Boy, if he was here, this would be different.’ I don’t believe that. Some of it’s, like, inbounding the basketball. What do these guys being out have to do with that? What is five guys running back in transition, talking and communicating, have to do with anybody being out?” he ended.
