Many NBA players have shared their opinions on the never-ending controversy between LeBron James and Michael Jordan. Fans, former players and basketball analysts have compared their careers and examined which one is better. But the current claim from the Chicago Bulls star’s former colleague adds a new angle to the GOAT controversy.

Dennis Rodman, a former Bulls player, was a guest on N3on’s live stream. The internet personality is a well-known fan of basketball. He’s welcomed other players such as Malik Beasley, Lance Stephenson and Anthony Bennett, to name a few. He even played a one-on-one game against WNBA star Chennedy Carter.

As a game enthusiast, he wanted to know Rodman’s opinion on the GOAT controversy. He asked the five-time NBA champion about who he chose between Jordan and James.

Rodman remained loyal to his former teammate. However, he had a unique take on why he chose the six-time champion. N3on asked the former star to choose between the two players in their primes.

“Michael Jordan & LeBron at their prime, right?” Rodman confirmed.

“Michael Jordan was too sexy, man, when he had the ball or something like that,” he said. “I mean, LeBron is like a goddamn [expletive] dump truck. What the [expletive] man? Michael Jordan sits there dancing like barista coffee. What? And sit there and look at you and just keep doing and making it look so easy.”

This wasn’t the first time that the former Chicago Bulls star has roasted James. In 2024, Rodman was asked about how well he’d do against James defensively. According to him, he’d be able to stay in front of the 6-foot-8 forward and said he would’ve “locked his a** up.”

The Chicago Bulls announced Derrick Rose’s jersey retirement

Dennis Rodman isn’t the only former Chicago Bulls player making waves recently. Former All-Star guard Derrick Rose was in the news due to the Bulls’ recent announcement. The Chicago franchise confirmed that it will retire the No. 1 jersey to honor Rose. The team announced that the jersey retirement will be on Jan. 24, 2026.

Bulls CEO Michael Reinsdorf also revealed that the only person to wear the jersey number will be Rose’s son, PJ. If he becomes part of the Chicago organization, he has the pass to wear his father’s former number.

“I’m just telling you: nobody’s wearing that No. 1 jersey again unless PJ is a Bull. Then he’s wearing that No. 1 jersey. All right? Is that fair?” Reinsdorf said.

Rose was visibly emotional to learn how his former team will honor him. During his time in Chicago, he became the youngest league MVP and earned three All-Star selections. The Bulls fanbase holds him special in their hearts for the time he spent with the Bulls.
