The Chicago Bulls successfully staged a 113-111 comeback win over the Philadelphia 76ers last night, as they clawed their way back from 24 points down, and Nikola Vucevic hit the game-winning triple with 3.2 seconds left.

As a result, the Chicago Bulls improved to 6-1 to start the 2025-26 campaign. But after the game, Vucevic and head coach Billy Donovan shared the sobering remark that turnarounds like yesterday shouldn’t be the norm because they’re not sustainable.
“Big win, but we can’t rely on making these comebacks,” Vucevic said via Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Times. “We can’t have those starts, especially against a team like Philly.”

“We don’t have the luxury to not invest for the full 48 minutes on the physicality things,” Donovan added. “We’re not going to be a very good team if we just try to rely on running up and down the floor, shooting the ball, and trying to get downhill and just (spraying) it around.”
Chicago Bulls News: Billy Donovan shares key injury updates on Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White
Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said that Coby White (calf) and Ayo Dosunmu (quad) are progressing well in their rehab. However, the team doesn’t plan on rushing them back, especially since they’re off to their best start since the Michael Jordan era.

“I think the mistake that he can make is, one, to come back tiptoeing in. That’d be the first issue. And then the second thing, he’s going to have to give himself some grace,” Donovan said about White. “It’s going to take him some time. And I think he needs to be patient with himself. He really holds himself to a very high standard.”
“I think the biggest concern is just him just being able to fire that quad in a way that’s necessary,” he said about Dosunmu. “We thought there’d be an opportunity for him to go (Tuesday), but he’s just not quite there.”
