It did not take long before the Chicago Bulls made a loud noise in this NBA offseason. On Thursday, the Eastern Conference team decided to part ways with guard Alex Caruso in a straight-up trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder that got the Bulls a new guard in the form of Josh Giddey. However, the Bulls may just be getting started, per Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports.
“The Bulls are nowhere close to done on the trade market. Chicago is actively trying to move Zach LaVine, but also appear willing to part with Nikola Vucevic for the right price. Moving Alex Caruso was the first step in long-awaited changes coming for Chicago.”

Will the Chicago Bulls make more shocking NBA trades after Alex Caruso’s exit?

With Caruso gone in Windy City, even more attention is being given to the pair of Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.
The Bulls have the option to run it back with those two players, but the offseason is also an excellent opportunity for them to shop both stars with the potential of acquiring assets like future draft capital. It all depends on what direction the Bulls want to take. Even though they lost a defensive stalwart like Caruso, Giddey is a solid young talent who could further develop and be better in a new atmosphere.
LaVine has three more years on his current contract that includes a player option worth nearly$49 million for the 2026-27 season. Vucevic, on the other hand, will be a free agent in 2026.
