Chloe Kitts, South Carolina Gamecocks forward, looks forward to a successful run for her team in the upcoming March Madness season. In an interview with SLAMU before the SEC Tournament, Kitts explained that while her team has had its share of defeats, they will surely win in games when it matters, such as the NCAA Tournament, which will commence in a few days.

The South Carolina Gamecocks finished their regular season second in the Southeastern table with a 15-1 conference score and 30-3 overall. The team finished one spot below the ruling Texas Longhorns who have a similar conference score and 31-3 overall.

“We’d rather lose now than later on. People try and play their best game against us, people scout [us] forever just to play against us because they want to beat us so bad. I mean, it’s OK to lose. We’re not going to lose when it matters, and that’s all that matters.” Chloe Kitts said to SLAMU in an exclusive interview.

The South Carolina Gamecocks finished their regular season playing against the Kentucky Wildcats and winning the game with a final score of 78-66. In the SEC playoffs, the Gamecocks played against the Vanderbilt Commodores and won with a final score of 84-63, before going to win against the Oklahoma Sooners with 93-75.

Most recently, South Carolina locked horns with the Texas Longhorns and won 64-45. In this college basketball season, South Carolina has been led in offense by stars like Joyce Edwards and even Chloe Kitts.
