Chris Paul of the San Antonio Spurs is seen by many to be nearing the end of his playing days. CP3 is still playing at 39, lending expertise to the young Spurs squad. However, Paul says he’s still working things out, but eventually, he has to end things.
On Wednesday, Tony Parker, a former San Antonio standout player, interviewed Paul. There was doubt about whether he would retire, and the 12-time All-Star feels that his career is coming to a close.

“Maybe a year or two, I’m still trying to feel it out,” Paul said. “”I think, at this point, the hardest part is – like I love this: practice today, all that, I love hooping. I love all of that. The hardest part is when I get home and I got to to watch my kids’ games on the iPad or what not so that’s the tug-of-war right now.”
Although his age is slowly showing, it hasn’t affected his ability to take control of the game. Paul is averaging 10.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 8.5 assists. He continues to make history, as he passed Jason Kidd to become second in the all-time leaders in assists on Sunday.
Chris Paul on his time with the Warriors

One of the more surprising moves in Chris Paul’s career was when he was traded to the Golden State Warriors. He played only eighteen games as a starter in his one season with the team. He only managed 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists, marking the first time he averaged less than 10 points.
In his interview with Parker, Paul talked about his time with Golden State as one of the toughest.
“Last year was probably one of the toughest years for me,” Paul said. “I just love to hoop. I wanna play. And then for me, Jada and the kids they stay in LA. You know with your two kids now, If I’m gonna sacrifice my family and be away from them, then I at least need to be playing.”
“Nobody’s guaranteed the win; only one team’s going to win. For me, I looked and realized that I can go hoop, I can go play.”
With the Spurs now, Paul returned to the starting lineup, mentoring the young players on and off the court.
