The Cleveland Cavaliers notched their fourth consecutive win with James Harden as their starting point guard, as they secured a 112-84 blowout home victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday evening.
It was a balanced effort for the Cleveland Cavaliers, as seven of their players notched double-digit points. According to Harden, this is what he envisioned when he joined the team during the trade deadline in a trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers.
“A million percent,” Harden said on his enjoyment level with the team. “It’s not even about scoring the basketball, just seeing everybody get involved. We got so many weapons that on nights it’s going to be certain guys… Tonight was a team win, and we’re gonna need games like this.”
Harden was among the Cleveland Cavaliers’ top scorers, as he contributed 16 points, five rebounds, nine assists, and three steals on 6-for-8 shooting from the field across 28 minutes of action.

Cleveland Cavaliers News: Jarrett Allen reflects on their statement win vs. Brooklyn Nets
Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen was all smiles during his postgame interview last night, as the team has been firing on all cylinders since James Harden’s arrival. He’s also happy to see his frontcourt partner, Evan Mobley, back on the court after missing the past seven games due to a calf injury.
“We just wanted to make a statement tonight… It just says we mesh well. Guys like Evan (Mobley), Dean (Wade) are coming back. Dean hit a lot of threes. Evan was back to his normal self tonight. We’re trying to get back to a system where we’re comfortable,” Allen stated.
“It’s so much fun,” he said of playing alongside Harden. “He finds me on every pick and roll. He threw me a couple of lobs. He showed his old crossover step-back. He’s just getting back into his bag. We have so many guys with so much talent on this team.”
