The Cleveland Cavaliers are not the same team they were last season, when they had a 64-18 win-loss card in the regular season. As of this writing, they are 25-20 – good for the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
The team has had its share of ebbs and flows to start the season, but Cleveland Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr. said he’s not worried about it. For him, it’s all about peaking at the right time, especially come the postseason.
“The best teams don’t peak in January. The best teams peak in April, the best teams peak in June, the best teams in March. That’s what we’re aiming for,” Nance explained. “Obviously, we got young guys in the lineup and new guys, and it’s tough like that.
“But as long as we keep climbing on that ladder, stay in our area and peak at the right time… Again, as long as we take care of business like we’re supposed to, there’s not a lot of teams that can hang with us,” he reiterated.

Cleveland Cavaliers News: Kenny Atkinson praises the team’s defense in win vs. Charlotte Hornets
The Cleveland Cavaliers secured a 94-87 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday in what was one of their best defensive performances so far this season, with their bigs like Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Nae’Qwan Tomlin setting the tone.
“Some of it is luck – like they missed some open ones. But, I feel like we pushed them off their spots, we made catches tough, made them uncomfortable. That helps,” head coach Kenny Atkinson stated.
“Defensively, obviously, he was great,” he said of Mobley. “His downhill, straight line, physicality to the lane, that’s the Evan. Sometimes he gets pushed sideline to sideline. Tonight, he was straight line to the basket. That’s what we need from him.”
