The Cleveland Cavaliers were supposed to be one of the top contenders for this year’s NBA championship after a 64-18 campaign last season. However, they have fallen well short of expectations so far with their 17-15 start.
During a recent episode of NBA on Prime, John Wall made scathing comments about the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the former NBA All-Star believes the team should consider making a drastic roster change in the next few weeks.
“I think they got a make a big change,” Wall stated. “Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, they’re just not getting along in that backcourt. And I think with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, they’re just too soft. They don’t have that toughness. They don’t have that grit to go against a team like the Pistons or the Knicks, that’s going to bring that physicality.”
“So I think they got to make adjustments,” he continued. “I think Max Strus being out is hurting them a little bit, and DeAndre Hunter being in and out. But that two-guard backcourt, I just don’t see it working.”

Cleveland Cavaliers News: Insider shares positive injury report ahead of match vs. Houston Rockets
Injuries are a big reason behind the Cleveland Cavaliers’ uneven start. However, their list has eased up a bit ahead of their pivotal game versus the Houston Rockets tomorrow, according to Cleveland.com’s Chris Fedor.
“A VERY clean injury report for #Cavs ahead of tomorrow’s game against Houston. Larry Nance Jr. (calf strain) and Max Strus (offseason foot surgery) are OUT. For the Rockets, Alperen Sengun (calf soreness) is QUESTIONABLE and, of course, Fred VanVleet remains OUT,” Fedor posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
After facing the Houston Rockets, the Cleveland Cavaliers will visit the red-hot San Antonio Spurs on Monday before returning home to host the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
