Things are supposed to get better for the Los Angeles Clippers with the return of Kawhi Leonard but it is the opposite that’s happening as they suffered a second straight loss, the latest one coming from their rivals Los Angeles Lakers. James Harden, who’s on a scoring tear, got the help he needs but there’s still something missing.

Leonard scored 39 points in the two games he’s played after missing eighth straight. How can they turn things around?
The two-time Finals MVP put it plainly.
“Just gotta get the right lineups on the court, I guess. Get some more talent. Play with better talent and see what happens,” he said as quoted by Joey Lin of the Sports Illustrated.
“I’m saying like playing better. Like we all just gotta play better. Make shots.”

Is that talent internal?

He is the talent. How much available will he be? Leonard said he feels healthy right now.
“I feel good. Hopefully we can build some minutes,” he said.
“Because this team needs it. Probably gonna have to up our minutes to get some wins. All of us. So we’ll see what happens.”
James Harden said he is not used to losing
Harden is in his 17th season in the NBA and he amazingly hasn’t missed the postseason. He also never had a losing record in his career.
This is why he thought he is in an abnormal situation. It’s only 18 games though and he believes they will figure things out eventually.
“Very. Very. But I’m a firm believer — I work my butt off every single day,” he said when asked about his confidence with the team.

“Not only for myself, but for my teammates… I’ve got more than enough faith in the front office, the coaching staff, and the players to put everything together. I haven’t been in a losing situation before, but I haven’t been in a situation where it literally feels like everything is going against us. So this is gonna be a test to show our character and what we can do later in the season.”
