While almost everyone would love to see Taylor Swift performing live in concert, the corresponding prices to the musician’s tickets don’t really come cheap. This was a harsh reality discovered by former college basketball star Evan Turner recently.

Turner, former Philadelphia 76ers lottery pick, recently shared a humorous take on attending a Taylor Swift concert with his daughter. Reflecting on the event, Turner praised Swift’s performance but humorously lamented the cost of the tickets, suggesting they could have funded a vacation in Europe instead.

Turner, selected second overall in the 2010 NBA Draft, had high expectations following a standout college career at Ohio State. Although he didn’t quite meet the lofty expectations set for him as a top pick, he enjoyed a respectable decade-long career in the NBA. During his time in the league, he played for several teams, including the 76ers, Indiana Pacers, and Boston Celtics, contributing valuable experience along the way.

Even after retiring from professional basketball, Turner remains engaged with the sport through his podcast, Point Forward, co-hosted with fellow NBA veteran Andre Iguodala. His insights into the game continue to resonate with fans and players alike, allowing him to maintain a presence in the basketball community. Turner’s humorous take on his concert experience adds a relatable aspect to his personality, showing that he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

Just recently, Turner found out what it costs to see Swift live in action. This can be seen in a tweet he shared on his official X account.

“I went to Taylor swift with my daughter last night and it was super fun and amazing but we could’ve used that bread and went to Europe lol,” Turner tweeted.

His tweet about the concert, where he expressed both enjoyment and a bit of regret over the ticket price, highlights a common sentiment among parents. Many can identify with the struggle of balancing fun experiences with financial considerations, especially when it comes to entertainment involving big-name artists like Swift.

As he navigates life post-NBA, Turner continues to share moments that resonate with his followers, whether through his podcast or social media. His humorous commentary on attending a Taylor Swift concert serves as a reminder that even former athletes enjoy everyday experiences and the joys of parenthood, all while maintaining a sense of humor about it.
