Anthony Davis is back for the Dallas Mavericks after an 18-game hiatus during last night’s 120-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

The Brow started and had 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block on an efficient 6-for-9 shooting from the field in 27 minutes. More importantly, Davis left the match healthy.
When Davis played his first game for the Dallas Mavericks last month, he notched 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks on 10-for-18 shooting from the field in 31 minutes but left the game in the third period due to a strained groin.

Naji Marshall led Dallas with 22 points and four rebounds on 9-for-15 shooting from the field off the bench against Brooklyn. Spencer Dinwiddie, PJ Washington, Brandon Williams, Kai Jones, and Max Christie added 16, 16, 15, 13, and 10 points.
Dallas Mavericks News: Anthony Davis drops powerful statement about Brooklyn Nets victory
Anthony Davis could’ve packed it in this season since the Dallas Mavericks are seemingly going nowhere. However, he is not the type to give up on his team, whatever the circumstances.

“I’m not the one to throw in the towel and sit down, I felt good enough to play. We got goals in mind. Even though we are undermanned, not 100% healthy. Guys are coming back, Live and Gaff, I want to make sure I have rhythm if we are able to get in the play-in,” Davis said via Landon Thomas of Mavs Fans For Life.
Dallas improved to a 35-37 record after they beat Brooklyn last night. They are 11th in the Western Conference, but if Davis can stay healthy, and Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford are able to return from their injuries, the Dallas Mavericks could sneak into the playoff picture.
