The Dallas Mavericks dropped to a 0-2 record, following their latest loss against the Washington Wizards, and their fans vented their ire on general manager Nico Harrison in the final minute of last night’s game.

“Fire Nico!” chants were reverberating at the American Airlines Center, and Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd sent a clear message to the team’s supporters after the match.
“I think they have a right to vent, but there’s a patience (needed),” Kidd stated via ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “It’s a different team, it’s a new team. We’re just getting to understand each other. We’re going to keep learning each other. So I would say be patient, but I understand the frustration.”

“We all want to win. We all want to compete at a high level, but it’s a game of expression, and fans have a right to express themselves. But that doesn’t stop us from coming to work tomorrow and getting better and getting ready for Sunday (against the Toronto Raptors),” he concluded.
Dallas Mavericks News: Cooper Flagg dishes on the “Fire Nico!” chants
Cooper Flagg offered a diplomatic response to the media when he was asked about “Fire Nico!” chants from the Dallas Mavericks fans in last night’s defeat against the Washington Wizards.

“I’m just locked in on the game,” Flagg told reporters via ClutchPoints’ Joey Mistretta. “I didn’t even hear those. I’m listening to coach, listening to the guys on the team, the vets. Just trying to figure out as many ways as I can to help the team impact the game in a positive way. I try to tune all that stuff out.”
In his second NBA regular season game, Flagg did much better. The former Duke Blue Devil pumped in 18 points, five rebounds, and six assists on 6-for-14 shooting from the field in 35 minutes of action.
