Anthony Davis has missed the last 14 regular season games for the Dallas Mavericks due to a calf injury. The one-time NBA champion was upgraded to doubtful for Monday’s game against the Miami Heat, but he didn’t suit up.

However, in a recent media interview, Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd revealed that Davis is expected to practice with the team later, though they’re taking a cautious approach due to the complex nature of calf injuries.
“He continues to get better. He’s working to get back. We anticipate him at practice this week. I think any time with a calf strain, you have to be cautious, but he’s worked extremely hard. The next step is practice on Wednesday & we’ll see what happens after that,” Kidd told Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News.

Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that the Dallas Mavericks will miss Dereck Lively II for around 7-10 days due to swelling and discomfort in his right foot.
Dallas Mavericks News: Cooper Flagg gears up for first game vs. Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers
After their 106-102 loss to the Miami Heat, the Dallas Mavericks are set to host the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time this season. Given the recent history between these two teams, many see this as a marquee matchup. However, Cooper Flagg said he’ll treat Friday’s game as another day in the office.

“I would say to me, it’s another game. I know there’s gonna be a lot of other things that go into that game & through a lot of these guys’ mindsets & whatnot,” Flagg explained.
“For me, it’s just another game. I’m trying to survive day by day, take everything one day at a time, one game at a time. Right now, we’re just trying to find ways to win,” he concluded.
