Damian Lillard previously said that reaching the NBA Cup finals is more about the Milwaukee Bucks trying to complete an unfinished business.
The Bucks will face the Oklahoma City Thunder for the title.

There’s not much word said about the more than $500,000 cash prize they will receive in case they win it all in the in-season tournament.
Lillard finally spoke about the cash prize and fans, and probably the Bucks staff themselves, are praying hard they win it all.
It is because Dame said the $500,000 prize money will go the people behind the scenes.
I’ve been doing this a long time. When I get it, I ain’t gonna just blow it or go crazy. … [I’ll give it] to the support staff, our training staff. The people that come in everyday, all day when get to go home. Just do something to support them.
The Emirates NBA Cup is kind of generous. Each player will get at least $500,000.

The losing team will receive $205,988 for each player. Will Lillard hand it to the staff in case he doesn’t get the half-million?
Damian Lillard’s court partner isn’t thinking about the cash prize
Bucks leader Giannis Antetokounmpo was asked about the prize money, too, just like Lillard. However, he tries his best not to think about it since the game means so much more than that for him.

It’s life-changing money, okay. Obviously $500,000, you can put a down payment on a house… Personally, I try not to think about the money. For the game, I love playing basketball.
[It’s] creating more moments that I can remember. Creating more legacy for myself or something that my kids can look back to and say, ‘Damn, my dad was a bad motherf*cker when he used to play
The NBA Cup may just be a side quest but both Antetokounmpo and Lillard believe it will be huge for their regular season campaign.
The duo want to win games where there are larger things at stake.
