JJ Redick’s rookie season as head coach for the Los Angeles Lakers is clearly not going well. Most recently, the Lakers lost to the Atlanta Hawks with a final score of 134-132, and before that were crushed by the Miami Heat, 134-93. Many called the coach out for the terrible performance of the Lakers, with many even comparing him to Darvin Ham, ex-coach for LA.

After their blowout loss against the Miami Heat, commentator, Skip Bayless seemed to agree on the same point, posting a tweet on the social media platform X. In the game against Miami, LA’s LeBron James shined as usual with 29 points in total, grabbing five rebounds and assisting eight times, while Rui Hachimura put up 14 points, with a trio of boards.

“The Los Angeles Lakers are down by 33 end of 3rd q at Miami. Man, I miss Darvin Ham,” Bayless posted on X.

While fans expected LA to get up after being shamefully defeated by the Miami Heat, the team immediately lost to the Atlanta Hawks, although this time with a slightly better score. Against Atlanta, LeBron James managed to chalk up a total of 39 points, with ten rebounds and 11 helpers, while Anthony Davis scored 38 points with ten boards and eight assists.

JJ Redick Frustrated With LA Lakers After Atlanta Defeat

Meanwhile, JJ Redick expressed frustration with his team’s performance against the Atlanta Hawks. In their latest defeat against the Hawks, LA lost 134-132 in overtime after a shoddy show of their defense. Speaking to SpectrumSN, JJ Redick went on to say that he is frustrated with LA’s late-game execution.

Against Atlanta, LA played it too easily in the last moments of the game after Trae Young grabbed three and then went on to grab another three. All in all, Young managed to score a total of 31 points, along with four rebounds and 20 assists to lead the team. De’Andre Hunter was the second-highest scorer for Atlanta with 26 points, three boards and a pair of helpers, while Bogdan Bogdanovic managed another 20 points for the team with six boards.

In that game, Los Angeles was led by LeBron James with 39 points, while Anthony Davis managed 38 points. James and Davis also managed the highest number of rebounds for the team in that game after grabbing ten boards, while Davis assisted the team with eight helpers, the highest in this category.
