De’Aaron Fox’s wife, Reece Fox, recently shared a behind-the-scenes look that featured a different team than the Spurs.

In one of her recent Instagram stories, Reece Fox, wife of San Antonio Spurs star De’Aaron Fox, showed how she found herself closer to the opposing team than she expected, due to confusion on the tickets she booked.

“Accidentally got tickets directly behind the Suns bench….very awkward,” she wrote in the caption.

In the game, De’Aaron Fox led the San Antonio Spurs with a game-high 26 points but could not prevent a 111-102 loss to the Phoenix Suns, who stretched their winning streak to three games on Sunday night.

The Spurs were shorthanded without injured star Victor Wembanyama, and San Antonio also missed starter Stephon Castle and rookie Dylan Harper, leaving Fox to shoulder the offensive load. The Suns, meanwhile, also had a few stars of their own absent from the game.

De’Aaron Fox Believes The Spurs Can Be “Special”

Despite the franchise’s early-season struggles, De’Aaron Fox still believes that their roster is “something special.”

The San Antonio Spurs have navigated a turbulent start to the season marked by a string of injuries to key players, but have still managed to remain near the top of the Western Conference standings, according to team reports and interviews.

Despite the absences, Fox told reporters the club senses something “special” in its current makeup, noting the team’s ability to win with lineups that were neither practiced together nor part of training camp rotations. He emphasized the Spurs’ goal of quickly integrating returning players and said the group has shown resilience by finding ways to win even when missing established starters.

“Yeah, we definitely feel like there’s something special,” Fox said. “Definitely. I mean, we’re playing lineups that we hadn’t even practiced with, or went through training camp or preseason with,” Fox continued. “We want to jell together as quickly as possible, and whenever we have all of our guys back, we want to do that as well.”

-Asked De’Aaron Fox if considering they keep on winning without some of their best players, if that indicates a special year could be in the works for the #Spurs

San Antonio’s depth has been tested and several veterans and role players have stepped up, with Harrison Barnes, Keldon Johnson, Luke Kornet and Kelly Olynyk contributing meaningful minutes, and Summer League standout David Jones Garcia drawing attention for his energy and production off the bench.

For now, San Antonio is banking on its depth and chemistry, including De’Aaron Fox, to carry it through the injury-plagued stretch and position the franchise for a stronger push once its core is healthy
