Nikola Jokic is the favorite to win the MVP next season. It will be the fourth for the Denver Nuggets star if ever. He’s already among the greatest of all time in the league but his former teammate DeMarcus Cousins believe he lock himself in the Top 5 convo if he achieves one thing.

Some people are hesitant to call Jokic a dominant player just like the run Michael Jordan and Lebron James had during their prime years. That is because he’s only won one title so far.
Cousins, who played for the Nuggets in the 2022 season, believes he needs to win one more to automatically enter that upper echelon.
“As of right now, I have him as a top 10 big all-time,” Cousins said on the Run It Back show.

“In today’s game, he’s top 10 all-time. If he wins another championship, we can easily start talking about top five. I think he’s that good—I think he’s that good early in his career—obviously, he has a long way to go with the remainder of his career.”
Nikola Jokic can reach a new level
Jokic came close to winning his second ring last seasons the Nuggets offered the toughest challenge to eventual champions Oklahoma City Thunder.
They might be able to do it soon if he unlocks another level which according to Cousins is waiting for him.

What he right now is the mastery of the game and consistency.
“The consistency speaks for itself, the dominance. Everything he brings to the game. If he wins another championship, he’s top five, and the conversation definitely starts to switch,” Cousins added.
