The Denver Nuggets halted their two-game skid in style, as they recorded a 125-124 overtime win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, with Bruce Brown’s goaltended layup sealing the deal.
After the game, Denver Nuggets head coach David Adelman praised his players for their efforts. It was arguably their best win of the 2025-26 season, considering they were without a handful of key players, namely Nikola Jokic (knee), Jonas Valanciunas (calf), Jamal Murray (ankle), Cameron Johnson (knee), Aaron Gordon (rest), Christian Braun (rest), and Tim Hardaway Jr. (illness).
“This is a bunch of guys finding a way to get it done with grit and effort and timely shot making. And I think that’s something that, when they’re older, 20 years from now, they’re probably gonna have a beer and talk about this game,” Adelman stated via Katy Winge of Altitude TV.
“Yes, this is a great win. I started out. Our sixth man is out, and this just shows how deep this team is,” Bruce Brown added. “People are expecting us to lose, and we got nothing to lose. We just go out there and hoop.”

Denver Nuggets News: Jalen Pickett notches career-high in win vs. Philadelphia 76ers
With several starters on the sidelines, the Denver Nuggets went with Jalen Pickett as their primary ballhandler, and he delivered a career performance against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 26-year-old combo guard had 29 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and seven three-pointers on 11-for-20 shooting in 42 minutes.
“Oh my gosh. I’m gonna tell ‘em I was giving MVPs buckets out there,” Pickett said via Denver Post’s Bennett Durando. “I made my first couple of shots, and then when I made that side-step (three), I was like, ‘I’m feeling it tonight.'”
Peyton Watson, Zeke Nnaji, Bruce Brown, Hunter Tyson, and Spencer Jones also scored double-digit points for the Denver Nuggets, notching 24, 21, 19, 14, and 10 points, respectively.
