Jamal Murray put up his best Nikola Jokic impersonation on Wednesday night, as the Denver Nuggets floor general had 22 points, eight rebounds, and 17 assists on 8-for-18 shooting from the field in their 114-110 road win against the Boston Celtics.
During the postgame interview, Peyton Watson said he couldn’t believe Murray has yet to be named an NBA All-Star in his career, and the Denver Nuggets forward used the opportunity to endorse his veteran teammate.
“He’s an amazing talent. I think you see it in games like this with Nikola out and the attention all on him,” Watson said. “Through double teams, through everything, he finds a way to produce. He not only creates offense for himself but also for us, and he’s an amazing leader. We couldn’t ask for a better point guard.”
Watson was one of the top beneficiaries of Murray’s steady playmaking yesterday. The former 30th overall pick had 30 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and six three-pointers on 10-for-15 shooting from the field across 37 minutes of action.

Denver Nuggets News: David Adelman and Jamal Murray reflect on the team’s “successful” road trip
The Denver Nuggets wrapped up their seven-game road trip with a 3-4 record before heading home to host the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. Head coach David Adelman will happily take it, considering what they’ve been through recently.
“I think this was an incredible road trip,” Adelman said via The Denver Post. “I think going 3-4 with all the things that happened — losing both of your centers, getting guys back on minutes restrictions, different people having to step in and play, beating Philly with nine players — yeah, I would say this road trip was very, very successful.”
Perhaps the highlight of their 3-4 road trip is the fact that the three teams they beat are currently Top 5 seeds in the Eastern Conference. It also helps the Denver Nuggets that Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon returned from their respective injuries.
