The Denver Nuggets saw history unfold on Friday, as Jamal Murray became the first-ever player to record 1,000 career three-pointers while representing the Mile High.

Jamal Murray returned after a three-game absence due to a concussion. The one-time NBA champion came into the game against the Miami Heat with 997 career three-pointers and needed three more to achieve the shooting milestone.
His breakthrough moment came midway through the second period, as he knocked down a stepback three-point shot from a Nikola Jokic handoff at the 4:04 mark.

The Denver Nuggets won 135-122 against the Miami Heat for their fourth consecutive win. Jamal Murray finished with 28 points, four rebounds, and six assists on 9-for-17 shooting from the field and 4-of-10 from deep. Nikola Jokic led the team with 30 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists, and two steals on 11-for-13 shooting.
Christan Braun and Michael Porter Jr. added 21 points each, while Peyton Watson, who filled in for the injured Aaron Gordon, had 16 points and five rebounds on 7-for-11 shooting.
Denver Nuggets’ Michael Malone is happy to have Jamal Murray back
Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone is satisfied they won but acknowledged they still have a few things to work on.

“I’m definitely happy that we won, but right now, we’re winning with our offense,” Malone said via The Denver Post. “To give up 122 points, 20 made 3s … I just don’t like where our defense is at right now. Too many breakdowns. Not communicating. Not disciplined.”
But more than anything, he is happy to have his star point guard back in the lineup, saying: “I think an aggressive Jamal Murray is an effective Jamal Murray.”
