“He Could Have Won MVP Five Years in a Row” – Former Denver Nuggets Forward on Nikola Jokic Being the GOAT

Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. benefited a lot from playing with Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic. During their time together, Porter Jr. developed into one of the best catch-and-shoot players from beyond the arc. With the help of Jokic, MPJ became a reliable role player. He averaged 16.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists through six seasons.

MPJ witnessed the greatness of Jokic in his first six years in the NBA. The big man won three MVP awards during that stretch. Jokic proved to be the most dominant force in the league at that time. To add to that, he was selected to multiple All-Star.

Jokic had one of the best runs during that stretch. He isn’t done, as he’s still regarded as one of the top players in the league. The Nuggets star finished top two in the MVP race last season.

With his dominance on the court, one could easily say that he’s already an all-time great. Porter Jr., however, took it a step further when he said that Jokic is the greatest of all time. His reasoning behind it is that the center is one of the few players who could have won the MVP award five straight seasons.

“I’m going Nikola Jokic,” the former Denver Nuggets forward said. “The reason I say that is because he could’ve won MVP five years in a row. Can you name another player that could’ve won MVP five years in a row?”

“I didn’t get to see Michael Jordan day in and day out,” he added. “I get to see Nikola Jokic every game, every day do this. I’m saying him.”

To this day, Jokic continues to be a great player.

Denver Nuggets guard gets the ultimate compliment from Kevin Durant

Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant is many things, but he’s also not shy about voicing his opinion on certain matters. Fans know that about him, and it is one of the reasons they interact with him online. Recently, a fan asked him about his thoughts on Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray.

“@KDTrey5 What makes Jamal Murray so dangerous as an individual player and is he one of the best guards you’ve played against?” the fan asked.

Durant gave his honest thoughts on Murray, giving him credit for his scoring.

“Supreme shot maker from anywhere,” Durant replied.

Even though Murray isn’t an All-Star, most NBA players recognize his talent. His scoring sets him apart from other role players, which makes him a special player.
