Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, a Michigan native, believes the Detroit Pistons’ future is in great hands with Cade Cunningham, so much so that the young guard could be the one to bring home the franchise’s fourth NBA title.

“Imma say it here first: Cade Cunningham will bring a championship back to Detroit,” Green said on his podcast.
“I think he will. I think I see it happening, he got the mentality, he got the talent, he got the demeanor, he got the size – which a lot of people underrate – to put a team on his shoulders and actually carry. Cade Cunningham will bring a championship basketball, championship rings, at least a ring back to the Detroit Pistons,” he added.

With a healthy Cunningham leading the way, the Detroit Pistons are in the middle of a resurgent 2024-25 campaign. Detroit are sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 41-32 record.
Detroit Pistons are winning without Cade Cunningham
The Detroit Pistons are on a two-game winning streak despite being without Cade Cunningham, who is sidelined due to a sore calf.

Detroit won 136-130 against the New Orleans Pelicans last Sunday, as Ron Holland II came off the bench and dropped 26 points, five rebounds, and six assists on 10-for-14 shooting from the field.
They followed it up with a 122-96 win over the San Antonio Spurs last Tuesday, as Marcus Sasser had 27 points, four rebounds, and five three-pointers on 9-for-12 shooting from the field.
