The Detroit Pistons registered a 108-93 home win against the Chicago Bulls, as Isaiah Stewart scored a career-high 31 points on 14-for-17 shooting from the field. He also had three rebounds and two blocks in 30 minutes of action.
The team badly needed this from Stewart, as they were without Cade Cunningham (wrist), Jalen Duren (ankle), and Tobias Harris (hip). After the match, the Detroit Pistons center couldn’t believe he scored that many points in a single game.
“I’m gonna be honest with you, I didn’t think I would touch 31 or 30 at this level just because of my role and the way I play,” Stewart stated via Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press. “But when you have guys that’s down, and you need another urge on offense, my mind tonight was just to be ultra aggressive, try to take the right shots, try to propel us forward.”
“It’s his willingness to do what’s right by the team and accept any role. He’s done everything for us this season,” head coach JB Bickerstaff said of Stewart.

The Detroit Pistons were also buoyed by the steady playmaking of Daniss Jenkins, who had a career-high 15 assists to go along with two points and six rebounds across 28 minutes of action. Last night, Isaiah Stewart received several dimes from the two-way guard.
“He did a great job just being a floor general – him seeing everything, making the right passes in the pick and roll, just finding guys,” Stewart said of Jenkins. “He did a great job of what was asked of him.”
Overall, it was a balanced effort for the Detroit Pistons. Besides Stewart and Jenkins, the team also received meaningful contributions from Duncan Robinson, Ausar Thompson, Javonte Green, and Ron Holland II, who chipped in 12, 11, 11, and 11 points.
