Jalen Duren is coming into his own for the Detroit Pistons, so much so that Draymond Green believes he can make the NBA All-Star team this year.
Duren was spectacular in the Detroit Pistons’ 131-124 road win against the Golden State Warriors on Friday night, as the 22-year-old center produced 21 points, 13 rebounds, and three assists on 7-for-14 shooting from the field and 7-for-10 shooting from the charity stripe in 30 minutes of action.
“When he first came into the league, he was young as hell. He’s strong as hell, but he didn’t know how to use it (his strength). He came into the NBA with a grown man’s body, and now, he knows how to use it,” Green said of Duren via Coty M. Davis of The Detroit News. “It’s no surprise that he is going to an All-Star this year.”
“I don’t think about it too much. God-willing, if it happens, it’ll be an amazing honor. My goal is to win the championship and make it further and further in the playoffs, and have team success… If it happens, it’ll be a great honor,” Duren said on potentially making the All-Star team.

Detroit Pistons News: Steve Kerr calls Cade Cunningham a Luka Doncic-James Harden hybrid
Cade Cunningham also produced a solid performance for the Detroit Pistons against the Golden State Warriors. After dropping 29 points, four rebounds, and 11 assists on 11-for-19 shooting in 35 minutes of action, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr likened him to some of the league’s top guards.
“He’s awesome. He reminds me of Luka and James Harden. Just kind of a one-man offense, running everything through him. He’s a great, great player, really coming into his own,” Kerr said of Cunningham.
Besides Cunningham and Duren, the Detroit Pistons received timely contributions from Tobias Harris, Duncan Robinson, Isaiah Stewart, and Daniss Jenkins, who added 15, 15, 14, and 12 points, respectively.
