The Detroit Pistons won two straight games, defeating the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards. With last season’s worst team record showing much improvement, the Pistons social media account recalls an X post by Kyle Kuzma after the 20-point rout.

Even owning home-court advantage, the Washington Wizards were not able to hold back the surging Pistons as their record plummeted to be tied with the Philadelphia 76ers for the second-worst record in the NBA Eastern Conference at 2-10, just above the 2-12 Toronto Raptors.

At this point its like “dont be that team” 🤣 https://t.co/qmWMgPt9Jz

This victory by the Pistons had their social media manager chirping on Kyle Kuzma, who was made infamous on pouring oil to the fire on Detroit’s Boston Celitcs loss back in December 29, 2023, which made them own the worst losing streak in NBA history.

“Don’t say it. Dont’ say it. Don’t say it. Sighs* at this point it’s like ‘dont be that team”,” captions the Pistons official social media handle on X.

JB Bickerstaff lauds Detroit Pistons showing muscle against struggling Washington Wizards

The Detroit Pistons are coming off their worst season in franchise history but has shown that they were able to turn it around this time owning a 7-8 record after a win over the Washington Wizards. More than the win, team head coach JB Bickerstaff is impressed how the team performed creating a statement with a blowout victory.

“Growth has been the main thing tonight. We got the win, but we should’ve won by a good amount, by 20 points,” said Bickestaff at the post-game press conference. “That’s what we should do against teams like  that.”

Malik Beasley also showed up not far from Ivey’s production wth 26 points while dropping six three-pointers above the Wizards.
