Devin Booker almost won the 2026 Three-Point Contest, but Damian Lillard was able to overcome him in the final round. For the Phoenix Suns star, the 2027 All-Star Game would have been even more exciting if he had taken home the skills competition trophy.
The Suns are set to host the 2027 All-Star Game. This will be the fourth time the NBA franchise from Arizona has hosted the event.

“We can’t wait to host NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix,” owner Matt Ishbia said.
“From our community to our fans, there is an energy and passion that sets our city apart. We look forward to welcoming fans from around the world and showcasing what makes Phoenix special.”
Booker is the longest-tenured player in the franchise, and he is looking forward to next year to give the fans a treat. He admitted he was disappointed not to win the Three-Point Contest and revealed that next year’s edition will probably be his last. He previously won the event in 2018.
“I wish I was defending [the 3-Point title] in Phoenix, but [next year] will probably be the last time I do it…”

Devin Booker receives praise from J.B. Bickerstaff
Although he did not win the Three-Point Contest, his team was victorious in the All-Star Game.
Team Stars ruled the All-Star Game under the new format. They defeated Team Stripes (headed by LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Kevin Durant) and Team World (Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokić) to lift the trophy.
Team Stars was the youngest among the three teams, although Booker was the oldest in the lineup at 29. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff said D-Book was huge in their win.

“I don’t even think he’s 30 yet. So for him to be considered the ‘old head’ is funny.”
