Phoenix Suns decided to have a Dillon Brooks Night at home, against the surging Detroit Pistons. Nothing can spoil the forward’s night as he took it upon himself to make that that the day will end on a good note.
Suns upset the Pistons through the lead of Brooks who continues to show that he is more than just a bruiser by scoring a career high 40 points on 13 out of 22 shooting. He was aggressive all night long as shown by his 10 out of 12 free throws.

The Suns did this without their two main scorers Devin Booker and Jalen Green.
The crowd was loud all night as they cheer for Brooks who before the game got recognized through a “The Villain” shirt that was given to at least 5,000 fans in attendance. His teammate Royce O’Neale thinks it is the t-shirt.
“The shirt was definitely representation of ‘Dillon the Villain’. He embraced it everyday. . . his performance. Just to see him competing on both ends, making plays, making the right read,” O’Neale said post game.
“I think it was the t-shirt that gave him a little mojo tonight.”

Is Dillon Brooks an All-Star?
This game by Brooks came a few hours after he was endorsed by Charles Barkley to become part of the 2026 All-Star Game. Will he get it?
His teammate believes Suns should have two representatives in the February festivities.

“Dillon Brooks is an All-Star.”

“Book (Devin Booker) should be a lock. I think we have two.”

Brooks for his part, is thankful for the Barkley endorsement and with the way things are going, the way his performances are making a noise, it will not be surprising that he gets the nod.
