Dillon Brooks, the Phoenix Suns’ villain, sometimes leaves his mark on a game via a big score, but mostly he does that with his heel persona. And it continued in the very recent match with New York Knicks.
Both the Suns and Knicks communities learned about Brooks’s fearless attitude during Phoenix’s 106-99 victory on Saturday night. The Suns forward locked horns with Karl-Anthony Towns in a fiery confrontation that ended quickly but offered a glimpse of KAT’s fake toughness.
Fans Destroy Karl-Anthony Towns for His Sassy Outburst at Dillon Brooks
The clash reportedly happened in the second half at Madison Square Garden. Brooks and Towns got tangled on a play, then squared up and started barking at each other.
Officials rushed in and issued technical fouls to both players to stop it from getting worse. Before that, though, cameras caught Towns firing off a string of profanities.
“Na come back! Wish you would do something bullsht again. B*h ass boy! Is you good, you good? Don’t know who you trying man!” Towns shouted at Brooks.
Their bold exchange highlighted everything wrong with KAT’s fake toughness as Brooks didn’t react and Town’s trash talk landed on air. Fans immediately called out the disconnect between his words and his reputation.
As soon as the clip rounds online, fans roasted Towns mercilessly for his empty threats. Fans questioned whether anyone actually fears the four-time All-Star.
One fan stated, “Ain’t no one scared of KAT. Literally no one.”
Another mocked, “It’s funny how no one believes this tough guy act KAT is throwing like bruh softer than charmin.”
The third fan repeated the same sentiment, adding, “Kat would b—- out after one teep to the knee.”
A fourth fan remarked, “Dillon Brooks would legit make KAT yell Uncle.”
Another random X user penned, “Lol no one is scared of Karl ‘Zesty’ Towns.”
Before this event, Knicks analyst Alan Hahn torched Towns publicly this week. He questioned the big man’s effort and intensity. He cited brutal efficiency stats showing Towns shooting under 60 percent in the restricted area.
“If the Knicks have title aspirations, they have to find the button that activates the killer in KAT,” Hahn wrote. And now Brooks exposed the fake toughness again on Saturday despite putting just five points in the final score.
And fans, after watching Brooks giving zero attention to KAT, are pretty sure that the Canadian star would make Towns yell uncle within seconds if the Knicks’ star continues his tough guy cosplay.
